Spain-France-Andorra Programme

POCTEFA 2014-2020 is the acronym for the INTERREG V-A Spain-France-Andorra Programme. It is a European territorial cooperation programme created to promote the sustainable development of the border territory between the three countries.

POCTEFA 2014-2020 represents the fifth generation of EU financial support aimed at improving the economic and social integration of this area. POCTEFA jointly funds cross-border cooperation projects that are designed and managed by stakeholders from both sides of the Pyrenees and from the coastal areas taking part in the Programme, maintaining the smart, sustainable and inclusive development of the territory.

Cross-border cooperation

The programme promotes the sustainable development of the border territory of Spain, France and Andorra through cross-border cooperation. It helps to reduce the development gaps in the territory and to combine forces to achieve sustainable development in the region and cohesiveness between the regions that are part of it.
In short, thanks to EU funds, the programme helps to improve the quality of life of the inhabitants of the area.
